Transcripts & Degrees
Born and raised in Buffalo, New York; I decided to attend school at the Associate's level to obtain my nursing degree. I attended Erie Community College in Williamsville, NY and achieved my Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). I began my Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University at Buffalo right after graduating with my ADN, however, did not completed the program due to life events. I spent the next 12 years practicing nursing and gaining a variety of skills and knowledge across the United States. During this time, returning to school was always at the back of my mind, but I was too indulged in working and experiencing life to take the time out to complete my degree.
In August 2013, I began to complete my BSN at the University of Cincinnati. I went into my BSN program with a mindset that I would not come out a better nurse. Boy was I wrong. Though I did not have to complete "hands on" clinical experience; during the process of completion of my BSN, I learned that I have expanded my knowledge of leadership, management and educational growth as a healthcare professional. This was an online distance learning program, in which allowed me to have a little more flexibility in my schedule in when I was completing assignments. I decided to go full steam ahead and complete the program in less than a year. Attending school full-time, working full-time and also managing to have some sort of social life was difficult, but I knew I could do this and I did! I have completed all of the required courses for the completion of my BSN degree and graduated on August 9th. I will be receiving my diploma at the end of August.
